Products you can sell on DropShop BD

Which product categories work for Bangladeshi dropshipping, how to judge a product before importing, and how taka pricing and margin are applied on import.

There is no secret winning product list. What there is: categories that survive local delivery, price bands local buyers accept, and a way to judge a product before you spend anything on it.

Your catalogue comes from your own supplier account, so you are not limited to a fixed range picked by us.

01Categories that work locally

Local buyers convert best on small, useful, low-risk items in the ৳500–৳2,500 band. Heavy, fragile and high-value goods punish you on returns and refused cash-on-delivery parcels.

  • Small kitchen and home gadgets
  • Phone and computer accessories
  • Personal care and grooming tools
  • Fitness and outdoor accessories
  • Kids' items and small gifts
  • Printed apparel and accessories — best aimed at buyers abroad

02How to judge a product before importing it

Run each candidate through this before it takes a slot in your catalogue.

  • Does the landed taka price leave 25% or more margin?
  • Can it survive local courier handling without damage?
  • Is the delivery window acceptable to a first-time buyer?
  • Can you explain the benefit in one sentence and one photo?
  • Would you accept it if it arrived at your own door?

03Taka pricing on import

Supplier cost is converted at roughly 1 USD ≈ ৳122 with a default 30% margin. Both are editable per product, and you always see the final selling price before publishing.

Price with enough headroom to absorb one failed delivery in five, or cash on delivery will quietly eat your profit.

A workable local price band
Selling priceWhy it works
৳500–৳1,200Low-risk impulse purchase, high COD acceptance
৳1,200–৳2,500Best margin band for useful household items
Above ৳2,500Needs strong trust signals and prepayment

04Selling your own stock

If you hold local stock, create the product manually, upload your own photos and manage quantity yourself. The storefront, COD and wallet checkout, courier booking and order tracking all work identically.

Questions

How many products should I start with?
Five to fifteen. A large catalogue on day one hides which product actually sells.
Can I upload my own product photos?
Yes. Uploaded images are attached to the product and shown on your storefront.
Do prices update if supplier cost changes?
Supplier cost is synced. Your selling price stays where you set it, so review margin when cost moves.
